"Bobby Shaftoe" is an English sword dance (2/2 time) in G Major. <br> It is the first figure in the sword dance from the area of Sleights, England.<br> In an article published in 1933, Violet Alford noted the dancers used 'Bobby Shaftoe'<br> when she first encountered the horn dance.<br> It was printed in Andrew Bullen's Country Dance and Song (May 1987, vol. 17), <br> Karpeles & Schofield's A Selection of 100 English Folk Dance Airs (1951) and<br> Raven's English Country Dance Tunes (1984).<br>
