"The Hunter's House", in Gaelic "Teach An TSealgaire", also known as "Ed Reavey’s" (in various<br> spellings), "The Hunter’s Hut", "Hunters’ House", "McGinely’s", "Reavey’s (again in various spellings)<br> is an Irish reel in G major.<br> It was composed by Ed Reavy (1897–1988), an Irish-American musician and composer of numerous<br> traditional Irish dance tunes. He was born in the townland of Barnagrove (or Barr na gCnó), Knappagh,<br> County Cavan. He emigrated to Philadelphia in 1912 where he settled in the Irish-American enclave of<br> Corktown (now part of Powelton Village). Except for two visits back to Ireland, he remained in the<br> Philadelphia area for the rest of his life. <br> It was recorded by The Chieftans on Water From The Well (2000).<br>
