The parts are played AABB.<br> This is not the same melody as the Child ballad and folk song variants known as<br> "The Trooper and the Maid".<br> "The Trooper and the Maid" is a widespread folksong known throughout Ireland,<br> Scotland and England, sometimes called "The Bold/Light Dragoon".
