"Money in Both Pockets", in Gaelic, "Airgiod Ann Gac Pocad" or "Airgead in Gac Poca". is also known as "Trip to Galloway". It is a Scottish jig known in Ireland, England and America. The earliest printings of it can be found in the Scottish collections of Robert Petrie (1790) and Malcolm MacDonald's A Third Collection of Strathspey Reels (c. 1792). It appears in this section because it appears in two of O'Neil's publications: Music of Ireland: 1850 Melodies (1903) and Dance Music of Ireland: 1001 Gems (1907). It has been printed by many others including Niel Gow. It is not often recorded because many players consider it "an old chestnut" or too easy, even though it is a nice tune. I play this tune in medleys with:       "My Darling Asleep" or       "Miller's Maggot" both in this section. I learned this at our Monday night jam.
