"The Rolling Waves", also known as "The Rolling Waves", "Beattie's Frolics",<br> "The Humors of Trim" is an Irish, jig in 6/8 time and D Major. The parts are played AABB.<br> The "Rolling Wave" title for the jig appears to have been Willie Clancy’s, although this<br> is now the most popular name for it. O’Neill gives it as "The Humors of Trim".<br> It was printed in Mitchell's Dance Music of Willie Clancy (1993),<br> Krassen's O'Neill's Music of Ireland (1976),<br> O'Neill's Music of Ireland: 1850 Melodies (1903) (as "The Humors of Trim"),<br> O'Neill's Dance Music of Ireland: 1001 Gems (1907) (as "The Humors of Trim"),<br> Vallely's Learn to Play the Tin Whistle with the Armagh Pipers Club, vol. 3 (1973).<br> It was recorded by Willie Clancy on The Pipering of Willie Clancy, vol. 1 (1973),<br> Kevin Crawford on In Good Company (2001),<br> The Chieftains on Chieftains 8 (appears in the “Sea Image” set).<br>
