"Stella's Trip to Kamloops" is a Canadian march in cut time and A Major.<br> The parts are played AABC. It is often written with a number of ornamental<br> notes that I have omitted for calarity. It looks very much like a strathspey<br> but it is actually a march.<br> Kamloops is a city in south-central British Columbia, Canada, at the confluence<br> of the North and South Thompson Rivers. The city was incorporated in 1893<br> with about 500 residents.<br> The tune was composed by pianist and composer Patricia Chafe-Nagy, the daughter<br> of famed Cape Breton fiddler, Winnie Chafe.<br> It was printed in Cranford's Jerry Holland’s Collection (1995) and<br> Perlman's The Fiddle Music of Prince Edward Island (1996).<br> It was recorded by Winne Chafe & Patricia Chafe-Nagy on Echoes (1988).<br>
