"The Wasp Reel" is a modern composition by mandolinist Simon Mayor. It reminds me of several traditional Irish reels. The first part in particular brings to mind "The Temperance Reel" also known as "The Teatotaler". It was recorded by Simon Mayor on New Celtic Mandolin (1998) but he doesn't include any notes about it.
