The parts are played AABB.<br> Antelope Gap is located in Platte County, Wyoming near Wheatland.<br> Dan Levenson’s comments:<br> This one comes to me from the playing of Howard Rains and Trish Spencer on their<br> Old Texas Fiddle recording. He says it comes from Texas fiddler J.W. Whatley.<br> I don’t think I have heard this one anywhere else but it has become a favorite of the Tucson jam crowd.<br> The banjo tablature is by John Letscher. His comments:<br> Name comes from an actual geographic location. Taken largely from the dulcimer playing of Mark Gilston.<br> Reminiscent of<br> "Run Down Boot".<br> It was printed in Dan Levenson’s Master Collection of Old-Time Tunes (2023) and<br> Mark Gilston's More American Old Time Tunes For Dulcimer.<br> It was recorded by Howard Rains on The Old Texas Fiddle.<br> <br>
