The parts are played ABACA (Phillips), AABBAACC (Brody) or<br> AA'A'A'BCDD'EE'FF' (Reiner & Anick).<br> "Black and White Rag" is a 1908 ragtime composition by George Botsford (1874-1949), a<br> Midwesterner who moved to Tin Pan Alley and had a long career as a composer in various<br> forms of music.<br> It was printed in Brody's Fiddler's Fakebook (1983),<br> Phillips' Traditional American Fiddle Tunes, vol. 2 (1995) and<br> Reiner & Ancik's Old Time Fiddling Across America (1989).<br> It was recorded by Benny Thomasson on Country Fiddling from the Big State,<br> Critton Hollow on Great Dreams (1988),<br> Terry Morris on A Texas Jam Session,<br> Ernie Hunter on All about Fiddling,<br> Milton Brown and His Brownies on Beer Parlor Jive and<br> Doc Watson and Chet Atkins on Reflectons.<br>
