"Blockhouse Dutchman", also known as "Box the Fox" or "Double Hornpipe" is an old-time breakdown in D Major. The parts are played AA'B.
The second part of Bayard's first ('A') version is the same as that of "Dogs in the Dishes".
The source for the notated version was Samuel Losch (Juniata County), Issac Morris (Greene County) and Walter Ireland (Greene County) {all southwestern Pa. fiddlers, collected 1930's to 1944 by amuel Bayard}.
It was printed in Bayard's Dance to the Fiddle (1981).
