The parts are played ABCC<br> (Wheeler's recording) or AABBCC.<br> The tune seems unique to the repertoire of Portsmouth, Ohio, fiddler <br> Jimmy Wheeler (1917-1987). Jimmy worked as a stringed-instrument repairman and as a<br> musician, performing fiddle for dances and guitar and bass for more popular music at<br> local clubs. He also played guitar with Forrest Pick on fiddle for many years as<br> "the Personality Boys" on radio station WPAY in Portsmouth.<br> It was recorded by Jimmy Wheeler on Field Recorders Collective FRC 401 Jimmy Wheeler<br> (2004) and<br> Roger Cooper on Going Back to Old Kentucky (1996).<br>
