"Le Grande Chaine" also known as "Antigonish Polka", "The Big Ship",<br> "Bluebell", "Glise à Sherbrooke", "Le Reel De Sherbrooke" and other names.<br> I learned "Le Grande Chaine" from Cathy Barton-Para's<br> class on French Canadian square dance tunes at Elderly<br> Instruments' Midwest Banjo Camp 2017. The banjo tab is Cathy's<br> with some amendments.<br> The standard notation is from www.abcnotation.com and is<br> pretty much a fiddle version of Cathy's banjo version.<br> This tune is easy to play and will stick in your head a long time.<br> Aly Bain has recorded this in a number of medleys including one<br> with "Waiting for the Federals".<br>
