"The Hillside (1)" also known as "Joe Kennedy's Jig" is an English jig in E Minor.<br> The parts are played AABB.<br> This jig is English and not Irish, so I have placed it in the Tunes section and not the<br> Irish or Celtic sections.<br> It is similar to the Southwestern Pennsylvania tune called simply "Quadrille" that<br> was collected from John Kubina, (near) Davistown, Pennsylvania, September 3, 1943 by<br> Samuel Bayard.<br> It was printed in Raven's English Country Dance Tunes (1984) and<br> Cole's 1000 Fiddle Tunes (1940).<br>
