"The Red Brick House in Georgia Town" is a fairly close form of "The Hillside" (known in Hill Country Tunes as "Quadrille"), worked over into 4/4 time. It was collected from Mrs. Sarah Armstrong, (near) Derry, Pennsylvania, November 18, 1943 by Samuel Bayard. Sets belonging to the 'Hillside' group include Journal of American Folk Lore, XXXI, Thomas D'Urfy's Songs Compleat (1719), Joyce's Old Irish Folk Music and Songs (1909), O'Neill's O'Neill's Irish Music (1903), O'Neill's Music of Ireland: 1850 Melodies (1903), White's Excelsior Collection (as "Kennedy's Jig") and Cole's 1000 Fiddle Tunes (1940). It was printed in Bayard's Hill Country Tunes (1944).
