"Roses in the Morning" is an American reel in cut time and G Major.<br> The parts are played ABB.<br> It comes from the playing of fiddler Clyde Davenport (1921 - 2020) who<br> was born in Blue Hole Hollow, near Mt. Pisgah on the <br> Cumberland Plateau in south-central Kentucky, not far from the border with<br> Tennessee. He was a recipient of a 1992 National Heritage Fellowship awarded by the<br> National Endowment for the Arts.<br> It was printed in Phillips' Traditional American Fiddle Tunes, vol. 1 (1994).<br> It was recorded by Ron Mullinnex on Taking Yesterday Along and<br> Clyde Davenport on Clydeoscope (1986).<br> <br>
