Bayard Hill Country Tunes #31b from Sarah Armstrong November 18, 1943.
This seems to be a major mode make-over of the Irish "Paddy on the Turnpike" which is usually set in either minor or Dorian mode. The name is usually spelled "Paddy" instead of "Patty" as in this case.
Sarah Armstrong (1883 - 1957) contributed 37 of the 95 tunes in Hill Country Tunes making her the most prolific source.
Other Sarah Armstrong tunes in this collection are:
      "MacDonahue's Hornpipe"
      "Maggots in the Sheep Hide"
      "Muddy Water"
"The Snouts and Ears of America" and
      "Sarah Armstrong's Tune"
in the Tunes section.
